Ahhh! I scored these adorable rose gold metallic flats for $6 at the Gap outlet, and they absolutely MADE my outfit for the Christmas party.
We don't go formal, but we all recognize that any excuse to dress up just a bit can be fun. I was planning on wearing boots, but when the temperature hit 60 degrees I felt I needed to seize the opportunity to go sock-less one last time! They were super cute with my skinny jeans, but I'm afraid ill have to wait until next April to pull off this look again.

Feeling frivolous
I promised light-hearted, and you can't get much more light-hearted than this story.
This weekend we finally had the opportunity to visit the new casino that isn't far from our house. I actually managed to win $50 bucks! That might not seem like a lot, but I think it's that perfect amount, it's substantial enough to do something with, yet small enough that I don't feel guilty about spending it frivolously.
So I bought new shoes! Now to be fair, this wasn't an impulse buy, I've been drooling over these beauties for a couple of months, and I really do need new tennis shoes, but I just couldn't bring myself to justify the purchase, until now! I ordered them from zappos, I can't wait to wear them!
